The trip from CPT to PE was fairly decent. The conductors/drivers were informative and friendly. The trip was also somewhat on time. My return trip from PE to CPT was a different story. I had no issues with the conductors/drivers themselves. However, the time of arrival back in CPT was nearly 2 hours. Expecting to arrive at 8:30pm and only arriving after 10pm is disappointing. I think a great investment for Intercape would be to have an ETA display for destinations along the main route. This could help manage expectations and plans around estimated arrival times.
Passengers frequently commend the cleanliness and comfort of the buses, highlighting the friendly and courteous nature of the drivers. Many reviews appreciate the punctuality and efficiency of the service. However, some users noted issues with late departures and unclean restrooms. Despite these concerns, overall satisfaction remains high among travelers for their experiences on these journeys.

The toilets was disgusting. We only stop in the beginning for a 15min break and 4 hours later for the next stop. So if the toilet are disgusting its makes it very difficult if we only stop 4 or 5 hours later. My boyfriend asked the drivers if he can sit in front and the said no but when we stop to pickup people they can sit there so later in the Bus we just sat in front for some more leg space because my boyfriend is very long. The driver brought us safely to Uitenhage so that is probably the only good thing

I had a great experience with intercity express. The riding was smooth, quick and comfortable seats. However, I'm tall and there isn't enough space for my legs. Other than that, it was a great trip.

However, some noted issues such as uncomfortable seats, non-functional toilets, late departures in certain instances, and minor maintenance concerns like windows not closing properly or phone chargers needing repair. Despite these points for improvement, overall satisfaction with the service remains positive due to its affordability and effective communication.

I'm glad I made it to my destination safely, especially considering how fast the driver was driving to compensate for factors that delayed the trip.

The bus was over two hours late, although SMS was sent judiciously, but it was very cold in Cape Town and raining terribly. Above all, it was a good journey per the ticket costs.

However, some users noted issues such as a bad odor from the toilet, cockroaches on board, poor communication between staff and passengers, occasional delays in arrival times of up to 45 minutes.

I enjoyed the seats as they had a little more leg room.
I just didn't like that we arrived at 06:00 in Newton Park instead of 05:10 that was scheduled. It made me late for work.

I didn’t enjoy the ride at all. The bus was super cold and has small chairs that were not so comfortable. It took long routes and the charging ports were not working but when booking it showed that they were working and had an air conditioning.

They were on time , regarding the departure and arrival time. No unnecessary stops were made and the driver was friendly .l like the fact that it has small plastic bags inside in every seat for dirt. A 10 / 10 service .

All went well. Drivers were good to people. Also were on time. Assisting passengers reminding them where the bus is. So they can be dropped or picked. Using their cell phones to phone passengers that need pickup in advance

The bus arrived exactly on time and dropped us off in PE an hour earlier. It was clean with no bad odors and had enough pit stops.
