Yes, you can. One child up to three years can travel for free, provided that the child does not use a seat. Only one infant per adult is allowed. In the case of more infants, a ticket will have to be purchased.

You can pay with cash, credit card, and debit card at one of IlulaBus’s offices or Pick and Pay. If you make a booking through the call centre, you can pay by EFT, credit card, or a bank deposit.

It is highly recommended that the elderly book a seat downstairs, close to the toilet, for maximum comfort. The Coach is also equipped with wheelchair facilities that have to be arranged in advance. The crew of the IlulaBus liner will safely store the traveller‘s wheelchair in the luggage hull of the bus.

No children under the age of twelve may travel alone. They must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian over 18. Children between the ages of twelve and eighteen can travel alone if the parents have signed an indemnity form.

Large items are welcome on IlulaBuses, however, IlulaBus does not carry surfboards, fishing rods, abnormal boxes, bicycles, perishable items if they are not packaged (boxed) properly. Large items will be placed in the luggage compartment by IlulaBus staff.  Any fireworks or other flammable material is not permitted. IlulaBus will not accept any ammunition or firearm on its liners. No, unfortunately not. But feel free to bring a travel pillow and a small blanket for your comfort. Try to be as self-sufficient as possible. This will make your trip easier and less time-consuming. Be prepared and pack smart. 

The professionally trained driver will immediately inform the 24-hour Operations room. They will send the nearest mechanic or the nearest replacement coach to help in the situation. Suppose the area is deemed as a non-safe area. In that case, police will be dispatched or the closest security operations to keep all the travellers and their possessions safe until the replacement has arrived or the liner is up and running again.

Passengers can cancel tickets or the amount thereof can also be converted into IlulaMoola if the following criteria are met: If the ticket is cancelled more than 24 hours before the trip passengers will have the option to either reschedule their ticket, request a refund or convert the credit to ILulaMoola. A R50 penalty will be charged.   When a ticket is cancelled within 24 hours before the trip a R75 penalty fee will be applied with the option of rescheduling or converting the credit to IlulaMoola. Unfortunately, no refund will be permitted.

In general, if you wait too long, you may pay more for your bus ticket. Unfortunately, the closer the departing date, the more your ticket will cost you. Early bookers, therefore, usually save more.
