We recommend taking the bus
Among the sustainable travel choices, the bus stands out as the good way to reach Toronto. The journey takes about 5 hours 40 minutes and with fares starting at just $3, it presents an excellent value for a comfortable ride.
According to user feedback, the bus service is generally appreciated for its punctuality and professional drivers, with many mentioning comfortable seating. Additionally, issues such as unclear signage at pick-up points and cleanliness of toilets have been noted by multiple users.
FlixBus Ottawa Toronto recent customer reviews
The ride was smooth despite delays caused by the weather. My only complaint that made the ride less satisfying was the fact that the driver wouldn’t let us leave the bus during our breaks. I understand that the driver may have had previous bad experiences with former passengers, but he stopped for a break TWICE and didn’t let anyone get off. Yes there was a bathroom in the bus, but I believe that passengers should be allowed to leave, stretch their legs, use the washrooms outside if the one in the bus is occupied, or grab a snack at a nearby convenience store. I was really dissapointed and I’ve never seen a driver do this when taking the bus with other companies. This was my first time taking Flix Bus, and I really hope that this isn’t a policy that all your drivers have and that this was just a one time thing

The bus was clean and comfortable, however, it was really hard getting in and out of the bathroom because there is a seat in the back preventing the door from opening fully.
Orleans Express receives high praise for its comfortable and clean buses, with many passengers appreciating the smooth rides and professional drivers. The service is often described as timely, although there are occasional mentions of delays in departures. Some reviews note issues like non-functional Wi-Fi or limited legroom but overall highlight a positive travel experience with friendly staff and convenient stops.

The bus was at the stop early and loading went very smoothly. The driver was fantastic and I was so grateful for his duty of care and that he came in to work to cover someone who called in sick. We even arrived earlier than expected!

Ride was great. There was someone assisting the driving or auditing him. He was ridiculously rude to everyone on board.

Really bad. Experienced a 3 hour delay due to the bus breaking down half way and having to wait for a replacement bus

Pick up time was 30 minutes late and arrival time was over an hour late. Too many stops. Stops were not listed when purchasing tickets. Time spent on these stops was not considered in the travel time.

Did not enjoy that the bus had to pullover multiple times to check the doors functionality. The bathroom door on the bus was almost falling off. The bus was just not up to the standard I would expect.

Driver was courteous. Bus was clean. Seat was comfortable.
Driver dealt with a passenger who had a medical emergency when disembarking for a time break in Kingston. Driver stayed calm, contacted emergency services and comforted victim until paramedics arrived. He also liaisoned with Starbuck staff as the emergency ended up on the restaurant property adjacent to the bus lay up at the Harvey’s. Driver kept us informed and as no was going to Scarborough Station or there were no scheduled pick ups, he was able to keep on time. Kudos to him.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had! We took a train ride from Ottawa to Toronto between 4 and 8 a.m., and the horn in front of Cabin 5 kept sounding constantly, which was incredibly annoying. I understand the necessity of the horn, but they could definitely take measures such as soundproofing Cabin 5 or providing ear protection for passengers.
The train is also delayed by 35 minutes!

The (business ) number one) and the sound of the alarm horn made us uncomfortable. The rest of the services are good.
