We were stuck for 5hrs at a traffic police stop because intercape overbooked the bus. As a result the bus did not meet the minimum weight requirement. It was very exhausting having to either wait in a hot bus or cold night air for so long. We arrive over 4hrs after our estimated arrival time.
I have used their bus service multiple times in the past without major problems but unfortunately, this trip was very unprofessional.

I arrived at the departure point at 17:00 for a 17:30 bus, however, at 18:00 the bus hadn't arrived. I tried contacting InterCity Express offices via WhatsApp and there was no answer as to when the bus would arrive in Midrand. The only communication from them was at 19:24 asking if I got the bus? At 20:49 they replied saying the bus did arrive at 17:45 as it was delayed by 15 minutes. Two buses had indeed arrived at Midrand, however, the bus drivers said they were only picking up people going to PE. I'm very disappointed as I am now preparing to book another bus for the same trip. All my plans have been ruined. I will never ever trust InterCity Express.
