Megabus UK receives mixed feedback from users. While some appreciate that the bus managed to make up for delays en route, others mention discomfort due to limited space between seats and bumpy rides. Additionally, there are concerns about the location of stops being difficult to find and uncomfortable waiting conditions at night.

The bus was only 10 mins late. It was 2.40pm which is peak traffic time for schools finishing, So heavy traffic was to be expected. I wasn’t quite sure what bay at Newcastle Under Lyme the bus was to leave from as nowhere said Megabus, it did National Express on one of the bays but this is confusing especially for a nervous traveller. The driver was polite and helpful. The bus was quite full but it was comfortable and warm. There was a very annoying high pitched beeping noise for at least half of the journey. It wasn’t continuous but happened about every 1 minute or so. I wasn’t quite sure if it was something the lady opposite had in her bag ( she didn’t seem to be bothered by it) or something on the bus. I was sat in the middle by the steps to the toilet and middle door, the opposite side to the toilet. In all an easy enjoyable , affordable journey.

Got to station to go on bus with a pre purchased ticket . I was told by the driver that the bus was full . I looked on the bus to find it half empty . Also I was told there was no room for large luggage . Fortunately another colleague came upon situation and he went to check back in the hold all luggage to find it half empty and loads of room for further customers. Had I not checked it out myself I would have missed my flight in Edinburgh airport and assumed what the bus driver was saying was correct . Obviously not the case.

Left on time, tickets on my phone so easy for us and the driver. Coach was clean and tidy. Clear rules re smoking etc. Careful driving. No problems. Will be using this service again

I had to pay a second time.Driver did not have his glasses on ,so he was very unhelful as he wpuld not type the confirmation number manually.Insisting he wanted a reciept.I showed him my booking confirmation number and the first trip on the 24th a diffetent driver accepted the same proof with no issues.however this driver on 27th would not assist causing a long queque to develop and implying to me I had not purchased a ticket.So I paid double as he qas not prepared to key in my referencw number manually.
