Unitransco receives praise for ensuring safety by having two drivers on night drives, which is appreciated by passengers. However, some users noted discomfort due to blocked views from certain seats and mentioned the presence of numerous street vendors inside the bus as a concern.

I personally thought the whole journey was very nice. There was snacks and drinks offered and a break half way to stretch your legs and get refreshments at another bus teminal. The bus was late by a couple of hours but expected that by reading other reviews. But being as comfortable as I was it didn't seem to matter much. It was a cheap and easy way to get to cartagena from Santa Marta. Thanks Mr Bus driver

Trip was ok, some of the delays were due to traffic which I understand is out of your control, but the bus sat at one of the terminals for 20 mins passed the departure time, which cost us 20 mins and in total our trip took almost 6 hrs from Cartagena to Santa Marta and was only suppose to take 4.

Despite having reserved and bought seats on the direct 3 hour Unitransco bus, and getting to the terminal one hour before departure, at the ticket office in Santa Marta they put us on a much slower and later bus so we lost the entire afternoon. Not happy about it, especially since it was not explained

I was told it would be a 4 hour journey and it was 8 hours. We had to change buses. The driver and assistants did not communicate with me - multiple attempts and ways i tried to talk to them. The toilet on both buses were locked and there was no toilet break. I was dropped off on the main road instead of at the terminal directly.
