The bus itself was on time, clean, and comfortable and the staff were nice. However, we’ve done tons of land border crossings with busses where people get visas on arrival and the bus waits. This one did not. They left without us and we had to get another bus and ended up at our destination 6 hours later then scheduled. I think it’s fine if that’s the policy but it should be clear when booking. We’ve never had that issue before.

Got swapped to a poor bus with no notice and then the bus did not go all the way to the destination as promised. We had to do the last 3 hours in a crammed minibus with bags on our laps.

We specifically booked with Nuevo Continente International and paid more due to the reviews of the other companies. When we arrived at La Paz terminal we were rushed onto a Trans Salvador bus with no explanation. There was no communication for the 18 hour journey, specifically when we were at a standstill roadblock in Puno for over two hours. The bus smelt, was hot and extremely dusty for the whole journey. Next time we will buy flights instead.
