CATA Internacional receives praise for its friendly and attentive staff, contributing to a pleasant travel experience. However, some passengers noted the absence of internet access and onboard entertainment options. Additionally, there were mentions of limited food stops during long journeys and issues with seat recline functionality compared to other companies.

The trip was amazing, the driver was great and the experience at customs and immigration was fantastic. But it would have been good to have slightly more than the bare minimum - maybe a bottle of water or something. Arrival in Santiago, however was disgusting and the process of getting luggage was a nightmare. The bus station there is a real horror show compared to Mendoza. Not Cata’s fault but it’s really awful

First of all, Terminal del Sur is perfectly safe. Just use common sense. The only challenge I had was locating the CATA booth to get my passport checked and ticket stamped. From thereon it was easy. The bus assistant was great and guided us through every step. Amazing trip over the Andes Mountains :)
