I was appreciative that one of the workers helped me get on the train.. and one of the porters helped me to get my bag before my stop. It was my first train ride in a long time, and really enjoyed the time to relax and enjoy the scenery along the way. The only angst I had was when they announced that only certain doors would open to exit at the stops along the way, and since I was in the last car, that I would not make it to the door on time. Thankfully the door at my car opened at my stop. Overall tho, a pleasant experience and I would not hesitate to do it again.

So long trip, almost 22 hours trip and not good food to buy. They should have at least a TV on board like planes does ,kind of uncomfortable journey. Amtrak Needs to upgrade services we are in the modern life.

For the most part the trip was fine… slow but fine. However, the person who talked on the intercom telling expectations of passengers behavior was very unprofessional. He rambled on about regulations making comments like: “You can’t drink your own alcohol… we don’t want drunk people on our train.” I found his demeanor disrespectful.
